Dude, I agree that is a good point however it's a cycle. Do you think the state of the industry is where it is now due to used game sales? Pre-owned games cut into their profit so MSRP is raised. It's a cycle...
I do think if this measure is taken then game companies need to chill out and throw gamers a bone here and there. We'll see...
I agree and I am not sure why people feel so entitled to re-sell a product they purchased that was created by hard working people. Its very unfair to the devs who work hard on these games. I want to see this industry thrive and if this helps then so be it
Guys, this makes sense for devs. How many studios closed this gen? This could help a lot of developers stay on their feet.
And to add to that this will all be a moot point once everything goes full digital downloads which I prefer. I hate physical media. I stream movies and music. The only "discs" I still deal with are games.
Im sorry but If MS found out Sony was doing this they would do the opposite. However I agree, if they implement this it could even turn a few hard core fans.

Ill admit I love my 360 but I purchased the system for my nephew and after playing it I want one... I wish the 360 had a similar controller for battlefield and the like.
It just came out and most games are ports so give them time. I'm sure E3 will bring out the big guns... People should rejoice that Nintendo is back in the hard core market with a different twist... Chill out and give them a chance. As much of a graphics whore that I am I also enjoy games that are just fun...
Even if they offered this for $50 I wouldnt do it...

Sorry, never heard of them.. I am 35 and been gaming since i can remember. I thought I would have at least stumbled across them at some point...either way, do u think it deserves a 5.5? The opening 20 min alone is a mile stone for gaming.

I'll tell you what..Halo is a technical Marvel... a friend and I started Campaign last night. IF this was a launch title for the xbox 720 I wouldve still been excited...thats how good this game looks... Im talking about jaw dropping visuals from the lighting to the vistas...I just could not believe this game was running a 360.
I know graphics aren't everything but that alone is worth a few points... Sound? Amazing, Story so far? So much more involved than I can rememb...

Sony finally came to grips with the reality of this situation.
Check Vita sales and you'll see where portable games are going... Why do you need a full 10 Gig experience on the go? Sheesh, play hard core games at home and casual on the go... Its not the tech that will eventually kill dedicated portable gaming devices, its the business model.
If you can't afford full retail games then there is always xbla, psn for cheap downloadable titles and iOS/Android on other platforms. Where does this sense of entitlement come from that you HAVE to play these games and that devs shouldn't make any money from you enjoying their game... Think about it from their perspective.
